With his long background and a family history rooted in business aviation, Steven Young has been a pivotal player in pioneering the development of the industry over the past 15 years. As one of the founding members of TAG Aviation in Asia in 2006, he has been instrumental in investing in resources and infrastructure and in hiring promising talent, work that has played a significant role in cultivating the early seeds of corporate aviation in the region.

With the changing nature of TAG Aviation in Europe, Steven has decided to take the baton of upholding TAG’s long history and heritage by increasing his ownership stake to cover the European charter and aircraft management businesses. This is a continuation of his years of involvement with TAG and a testament to his belief in the future of the private aviation industry, especially in Asia.

In the midst of the current global situation that has rocked many industries to their core, the pandemic has forced the business aviation sector to re-examine its operations. TAG has, like many other companies in the industry, been forced to rethink its ability to be agile enough to meet any challenge that may come. These factors have influenced Steven decision to personally play a more active role by serving as TAG’s Asia CEO. In this capacity, he is confident that his passion and commitment will shine through, not only to his employees, but to the industry as a whole, an endeavor he has spent his life building and promoting.

Steven remarked: “This year truly marks the beginning of a new era for TAG Aviation.  In the past few months, we have consolidated ownership of both Asia and Europe.  The result of this is that we can now develop a coherent strategy that draws upon the efficiencies of both organizations and leverage a greater geographical marketing reach. In the near term, we will continue to focus and build upon our core businesses – aircraft management, charter, maintenance (both direct and third-party) and additional FBO facilities. The key is to reinforce TAG’s ethos of excellence and safeguard our 50+ year heritage in aviation. With our new structure in place, I wholeheartedly believe the best of TAG Aviation is ahead of us.

It is Steven’s hope and intention that TAG will continue to be a strong, supportive corporate citizen within the Asia Pacific business aviation community, and that the company will continue to support the interests and growth of the industry throughout the region. TAG will underscore his commitment by investing in regional infrastructure, such as the Macau FBO, and will continue to engage in exploration of strategic opportunities that will further advance business aviation in Asia.
