Silkwings Jet Secures Strategic Investment for Development of its Jet Sharing Programme in Asia

Silkwings Jet, the leading Sino-French business jet operator, today announced that it has secured new investments for its expansion from Capital 8 and AsBAA member L'VOYAGE. The investments will allow Silkwings Jet to expand its fleet and develop its jet sharing program tailored to the Chinese and Asian markets.

Capital 8 is a key investment vehicle for private aviation in Asia. L'VOYAGE is a leading provider of bespoke private jet travel in Asia. Along with Silkwings Jet, all three companies share a common vision for providing high-quality private jet travel in the region.

Silkwings Jet solutions allow owners to share the acquisition and operating costs of an asset, while charter generates a revenue complement further lowering the cost of owning an airplane. “We setup Silkwings Jet with a very clear mission – allowing our client to maximise asset ownership and utilisation, always seeking to generate maximum value for every dollar spent into their aircraft” says Franck Dubarry, Silkwings Jet founder and CEO.  The versatility of our Jet Sharing Programme and our deep knowledge of operating in the region makes it a more efficient option than traditional private jet charter or other jet card programmes.

Silkwings Jet is the first Sino-French operator to be supported by the French government. The investments from Capital 8 and L'VOYAGE will help Silkwings Jet to expand its operations and meet the growing demand for private jet travel in China and across Asia.

Relying on different  China and foreign Air Operator Certificates, Silkwing Jets will provide maximal operational flexibility to their clients, whether they acquire a Share in Silkwings Jet Sharing programme or decide to place their existing aircraft under Management with Silkwings Jet.

“We are excited to partner with L'VOYAGE to create a new standard of service in Asia,” said Franck Dubarry, Founder and Chairman of Silkwings Jet. “Our combined expertise will allow us to offer our clients the highest level of private jet travel. LVoyage investment will allow us to expand our operations and meet the growing demand for private jet travel in Asia."

Dubarry has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. He has a background in the French navy, is an FAA & EASA pilot, and an air traffic control instructor. After stints in various European airlines and airport operators, he came to China in 2015 as the first foreign General Manager of a business jet airline. With strong know-how in operations, crew management, and business development, he led the company to success and developped an additional expertise in how to efficiently operate in China and across the Asia Pacific Region.

"We are excited to invest in Silkwings Jet and join our foces in this strategic partnership. By combining our strengths we will create a more comprehensive and flexible service offering for our joint clients, whether they need a simple charter flight to those who require a more complex and customized solution," say L’Voyage Jolie Howard and Diana Chou.
