Shenzhen and CAAC Sign MOU for GA Demonstration Area

Recently, the CAAC announced that a general aviation demonstration area will be built in Shenzhen. The Shenzhen municipal government and CAAC signed an MOU in early May 2020 for the establishment of a coordinated mechanism to support GA development in the city. The MOU covers the construction of a Shenzhen GA airport and a helipad, steady development of helicopter cross-border services, aviation emergency medical services, low-altitude tours, and low-altitude business flights to promote the interconnection of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area. This is the first time such a coordinated GA mechanism is being established by the local government and CAAC.
