Recently, the UAS team in Beijing noticed that many operators currently operating humanitarian and cargo flights to China urgently require a CCAR-129 approval to ensure their missions stay on schedule.

The Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) allows foreign operators to operate a limited number of flights without having a CCAR-129 approval. Without this approval, the number of flights by foreign operators cannot exceed 10 flights within the period of one year. UAS has published a Q&A with their Operations Director in China, Carlos H. Schattenkirchner, answering many questions around to shed some light and help get the word out there.

Be sure to check out UAS’s Q&A for their latest tips that may be useful for your flights.
