AsBAA Discovery Malaysia hosts 25 University Students for Subang MRO Visit

On 10 September, the AsBAA Malaysia Chapter hosted 25 students from its University partner, MIAT (Malaysia Institute of Aviation Technology) for a visit to Asia Aerotechnic (AAT), a Part 145 MRO in Subang. The objectives of the field trip were to expose the students directly to an MRO environment and to connect directly with the Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAEs). Experiential learning provides the students with a remarkable experience and increases their motivation. Through exposures like these, students learn many aspects on how to become LAE, their responsibilities, their advantages, and career development.

Stay tuned for AsBAA Discovery Malaysia’s next planned activity, which will be on 23 September, featuring a field trip to Senai International Airport which hosts the Senai Business Aviation Terminal (SBAT), to learn about commercial, cargo, and business aviation operations. Senai International Airport (Code IATA: JHB; ICAO: WMKJ), was formerly known as Sultan Ismail International Airport and is the domestic and international airport serving the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
