AsBAA China chapter update

 

Recently, the AsBAA China chapter recently hosted its Spring chapter meeting and expert committee appointment ceremony in Beijing. About 30 members from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and other areas attended the long-awaited face-to-face meeting. Rocky Zhang, Vice Chairman of AsBAA and Chairman of the China Chapter chaired the meeting.


John Williams, Managing Director of International SOS China, delivered a welcome keynote and introduced its global health and travel security risk support networks, including its world-leading travel risk management solution provider and subsidiary - MedAire, an AsBAA member.

 

 

The Association's Vice Chairmen and Board of Directors, Rocky Zhang and Paul Desgrosseilliers, recapped the establishment of AsBAA China’s five new working committees. The 2022 - 2024 Experts within the Working Committees in the areas of OEMs, Operators, Operations/Ground Handling, MRO/Aviation Supplies, and Aviation Law / Tax / Appraisals / Finance.

 

 

Rocky Zhang introduced the priorities of the Committees and a series of industry and networking activities, including AsBAA Discovery plans through the whole year of 2023 in mainland China. All events are planned to be hosted in Beijing, Shanghai, Southwest China and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which are economic hub areas experiencing rapid recovery of business aviation. At the same time, the Association is also committed to supporting and participating in the members’ own activities and events throughout the year.
