Job Description

The Head of Line Service is responsible for the overall operation and functioning of the Line Service Department, ensuring safety and compliance for all ramp operations and maintaining excellent standards of customer service.

Job Duties:

  • To manage, control and motivate the daily operation activities of Line Service Department.
  • Perform operations team management, apron and hangar management & planning.
  • Manage, monitor and review the application of rules and regulations, standards and procedures relating to operation management, and apron as well as hangar managements.
  • Develop, monitor and review policies and procedures in order to optimize the resource deployment and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategy for operation management and development to meet company objectives in terms of efficiency, quality and delivery.
  • Manage human resources related matters and manpower deployment to maximize productivity and efficiency of the department.
  • Perform risk assessment and preventive management on any new or identified issues.
  • Liaise, co-ordinate with relevant parties / airport authority to ensure operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Liaise, co-ordinate and maintain close relationship with tenants / clients.
  • Provide guidelines / advice / training to subordinates in dealing with their daily work and to monitor their work performance.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior. 


  • Degree holder, preferably in an Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Over 10 years’ relevant experience with 5 years’ managerial experience.
  • Holder of valid aircraft maintenance basic license(s) eg. HKAR, FAA, EASA, CCAR, etc. or equivalent is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of planning and ground handling management.
  • Sound operational knowledge and experience in the general aviation field.
  • Sound business proficiency with strong communication skills at all levels of the organization, authorities and business partners.
  • Self-motivated high achiever with strong leadership skills to handle frontline personnel.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work under pressure.
  • Good command in both verbal and written English and Chinese.
  • Holder of Hong Kong Driving License 1, 2; higher classes are an advantage.
